These studies show the uses of Jute Geotextiles in civil constructions like separation, reinforcement, drainage and filtration functions and can be suitably used in overcoming geotechnical problems of weak soil and are ecologically safe because of its biodegradable nature. These studies deal with different types of jute fabrics and their contribution in improving soil quality. It has also been proved that jute geotextile is very effective in soil permeability. Other study proves that Geojute is effective in improving bearing capacity of sub-grade soil at low cost and is eco-friendly too.
